Since it's new, I thought I'd share my story about the MG hospital!
I went into labor on Saturday night/Sunday morning, so it was very quiet coming in. The security guards even wheeled me up to L&D so my DH could hold my hand and support me. I was having crazy hard contractions at that point.
We got up to labor assessment and they were all ready for me since my doctor had called ahead. I was already 10cm, so I didn't spend any time laboring, actually. I had to wait for my doctor to get there before I could start pushing, and the nurses were all incredible in helping me get through that. I think I waited about 20-30 minutes!
I didn't even have time for drugs, and again the nurses were so supportive as I pushed and got the baby out. This was a VBAC, so even though I had labored before I hadn't actually pushed OUT a baby, so it was great to have them helping me.
We only stayed about 36 hours in the Mom and Baby area, but it was very quiet. Only 7 babies total, and all my visitors thought I was the only one in the hospital! The TV had movies, and the food was room-service style. They even had a snack cart that came around in the afternoon and had chips, bars, cookies, and beverages. The nurses in the recovery area were very nice as well.
I didn't notice any hiccups with it being a new hospital/staff. I had Kellen on March 28th, so maybe they've worked through all the kinks!
Oh, and parking was great, there is lots of free parking. My FIL noted once that if he had parked in the handicapped spaces, he would have been farther away.

Thank you for posting this. DH and I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm thinking about where to deliver. MG would be perfect for us location-wise, but DH was hesitant because it is so new. Now I'm thinking we'll check it out.
Plus, I guess I should point out to DH that by the time the baby is born (late December) it won't be so new anymore.
Edit: BTW, congrats on your new addition!
