Yes, it has been happening on a couple other boards...people stealing baby pics and/or belly shots.
ditto. Someone stole someones maternity pictures and posted them on the bump as her own...they figured her out though because if you traced the pictures, they dated like more than a year ago AND the bumpie who's pictures they really were called her out!

This is just so creepy. How do the people nabbing the photos think they'll get away with it? Are their lives really that dull that they need to live within someone else's? I just wonder. I must learn how to do watermarks sometime.

The girl who stole the pregnancy pictures said she did because she miscarried and wanted to kind of live vicariously through another persons pregnancy...something like that/along those lines. Sad...she needs some serious therapy.
I did my watermark in photoshop but there is a site called picnik where you can do it.

I had wedding pictures jacked and put on another girl's blog, too. so it's not a new thing.
i watermark anything that doesn't have a face on it.
picnik is great, but if you've got ps/pse, this site is awesome (and has a tutorial)

Out of curiosity why is this such a big deal? Yes it's odd that someone would want to pass of someone else's photos as their own, but IMO your photos are already out there for everyone to see anyway.

in my case - the wedding photos were pro and copyrighted. If I ever decide to start my design business back up, I'll put my photos in my portfolio and I'd rather not have them be everywhere.
