If you have a problem sleeper what strategies have you used that work?
DS often asks for water in the middle of the ngiht. He's in a big-boy bed so I can't just leave him in his crib to 'work it out'. I'm thinking about putting a spill-proof water bottle on his book shelf so he can get himself some water. He wants to be tucked in, but because it's so hot he doesn't seem to understand that he's going to be up in an hour covered in sweat. (My bad for making him his now favorite fleece Dragon blanket.)
We tried a sticker reward system but then DS2 was born so everything had been in an uproar. I want to be patient because it's alot of chance, but I also want to sleep till DS2 wakes me up and not be needed inbetween by DS1.
Re: Tough Sleepers come in
DS gets water on his nightstand- it usually ends up in his bed at some point.
We still have to get up with #1 and #2 is an awful sleeper as well. Yes it sucks, but you do get used to it. And I don't really mind #1's wake ups b/c they are so much less high maintenance than the baby's- they aren't as big of a deal as I thought they were before we had 2. I guess it's just a new perspective.
That said, I do hope you get your issues worked out. I don't wish 2 bad sleepers on anyone else!
