DH and I are looking for a leather couch. Any recommendations on places to look? We went to Luxury of Leather last night, but would like to check out other places. Thanks! I appreciate your help!
Have you tried costco? DH and I bought a set from there for one of our living areas and loooooooovvvvveeee it! We just got a mini-catalog this week. And we saw a set we like from there to buy for another living area! HTH and GL
I don't know about where to go, but avoid the Roxy couch from Macy's! We bought it in 2007 and it has not held up well. The leather has torn in places, the finish gets creased and flakes if it gets wet, the arm rests have sort of collapsed in the centers. Ugh, lots of problems. We bought it to fit in a tiny NYC apartment and can't wait to replace it in the near future.
Have you looked at the Dump on 635 or maybe Ashley furniture? We bought a set several (10+) years ago at Gallery Furniture in Houston that is still going strong at MIL's house.
We bought ours from Ashley Furniture a little over a year ago. I'm not usually a big fan of their style of furniture, but after literally looking everywhere, we found the one we loved there. We bought their warranty/insurance, whatever it is to go with it and when DD got crayon on it they came and got it out for free. It has held up so well. I've been really pleased. Between the kids and dogs our furniture gets a ton of wear and tear...and this still looks brand new.
Goodness, I can't believe others had a good experience from Ashley's!
We bought a leather sofa and recliner from Ashley's about 4 years ago (along with a warranty). Within the 1st year, the leather started ripping on the sofa. They came out, said it could not be repaired and told us to go up to the store and pick out a new sofa b/c they did not have the same one anymore.
They wouldn't let us get a new recliner to match the new sofa, so we had 2 different pieces, which pissed me off.
Within the 2nd year, the recliner started ripping. Same story, they came out and couldn't repair it and had us pick out a new one. Once again, they didn't have the style of our 2nd sofa so we had to pick one out that didn't match.
The 2nd sofa and recliner they would not warranty, of course, they are both falling apart. The leather is peeling everywhere on the sofa, and the recliner won't even rock anymore. They are both less that 3 years old!!!
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMENED BUYING LEATHER FROM ASHLEY'S!
