I had a terrible cold or sinus infection last week (finally getting over it). I ran a fever for several days, etc. I was terrified that Riley would catch it, run a fever, and we'd have to take her to the hospital. So far, she's totally normal! I think we supposedly pass our antibodies on to them!
If you are BFing then anything your body is fighting, some of the antibodies will be passed through the BM.
My LO got a bit of a cold from her sister. She had a stuffy nose and that was all. We did some steam showers and a humidifier. I also got the Nosefrida and love it. It gets the snot right out.

He's pretty much had colds since he was born thanks to big brother. ;o) He's just finally getting healthy for the first time in his life. He's had a full nose and had a bad cough for over a week. The nose sucker has gotten plenty of use in the last 7 weeks. Fortunately it hasn't seemed to bother him at all.
I *think* LO had a cold last week...only showed symptoms at night though... it was weird...we elevated the crib, ran the cool mist humidifier and used the Nosefrida with some saline and it seems to slowly be getting better. He would sneeze and then cough and gag cause I think it was running down his throat. Poor baby

I'm not BFing Unfortunately...I was EP but my supply is almost gone now. I have like 1/2 oz to give him today. Maybe it is better than nothing?
I had a cold last week. I too was worried. DD did get more congested and still is at night but that is it. We are using saline spray and humidifier that is helping her.
DD had a bit of a stuffy nose at 2 weeks. One way I knew was b/c I was SUPER sick and b/c she was having a bit of a problem breathing so I did a LOT of saline drops and suctioning. I also did the humidifier and this Vicks air thing. So try not to pass it on but if you do I'm sure everything will be fine.

Thanks! I am cleaning out the humidifier today just in case.
