Baby acne or heat rash?

Ethan started with the baby acne about week ago on his face. Well, it seams like maybe there is some heat rash going on also as some of the areas become very patchy and red, especially when he has been laying on that side or his face is warm. Does this sound like heat rash to you? Maybe something else?

    We've had a little bit of both going on here.  It has been really hot lately!

    I was seriously about to come post the same thing.  DS has some kind of redness on one side of his face.  He's been stuck in the carseat for a good chunk of the day, so I was thinking heat rash.

    I feel your pain ... we have a bit of both also ... I've been battling heat rash for about a week now ... its EVERYWHERE! The problem is that we live in Chicago ... 68 during the day and like 39 at night at various points. So, the temp in our home changes from moment to moment along w/the temp outside. Because of the variation in the temp at night, I can't seem to get it right ... she's either perfect starting out, then too hot or too cold  throughout the night. Bless her heart ... I mean its everywhere.

    I've just been wiping her down with warm washcloths throughout the day and I've also started applying cornstarch (old school remedy that my mom reminded me of ... its actually helping ... I googled and apparently its one of the recommendations). I asked my pedi about it and she was basically like, "that's an old school remedy ... it can't hurt and will likely help keep away the mosture" ... just dress her appropriately."
