  • I have the same issue because my job requires me to stand in one spot the entire shift.  No matter how much I snack to keep my blood sugar up, how much I try to move around, the pain, dizzyness, and shortness of breath does not go away.  And there is no using a stool because my bosses are evil.
  • Blood sugar would affect you sitting or standing.  It could be low blood pressure.  Try drinking some water and putting your feet up when this happens.
  • I have the same issue when I stand on the train platform!  Not a good feeling!

  • It could be because when you stand still for a long time, your blood tends to kind of pool in your lower legs, as it's harder for your body to pump it up against gravity.  It happens all the time, but more so in pregnant women, putting us at higher risk for varicose veins and DVTs.  You should make sure that you walk around as much as possible (walking helps keep the blood pumping).  You can also wear support stockings/socks (sold at most pharmacies) which put a range of pressure along your legs and help keep the blood from pooling.
