Imaginarium-Fort Myers

I am hoping you ladies will help me out!  My in-laws are moving to Bonita in a couple weeks and we are planning to go visit (from NH) in late June/early July.  Can you give me advice/ideas about having a 3 and 1 year old?  I'm expecting it will be extremely hot and humid, more so than here.

Also, has anyone been to the Imaginarium museum?  It has reciprocal admission to a membership we have up here and I was wondering if anyone could give me more info.

Thanks ladies!

  • I may be too late. The Imaginarium would be fun, especially for the 3 year old. I think it's catered a little more to older kids, but there is a nice section where the 1 year old could play. I took my DS (20 months) there one time and he had a good time. I definitely recommend Sanibel beach. Naples has a waterpark Sun-N-Fun Lagoon. Have fun!

  • The Imaginarium is great and so is the Naples Zoo.    There is also Lakes Park in Fort Myers..they have a train, water fountain area for kids to play in, park and pavillions you can rent to grill or just have lunch under, lakes and a huge play ground.  Sanibel is nice, but pretty boring for young kids and very shell-y, my husband and I go there often.  You can rent bikes and ride around the island and they have some shops but nothing just for kids.
