We are totally miserable right now. She's on Zantac and Prevacid, Tylenol for a fever, Mylicon because she keeps falling asleep on her bottles then I can't get her to burp, and Saline drops every 1-2 hours for her nose. She's so congested in her nose and it's draining into her chest so she's coughing. I'm pretty sure her throat hurts and she whimpers while she sleeps and will suddenly burst into big fat crying tears. She wants to be held constantly and the moby wrap is not what she wants, which is to be on my shoulder.
I've had maybe 1/2 cup of leftover cold pasta to eat today. I'm sleep deprived, short on energy and pretty miserable myself... and now she's awake again...
Re: Poor medicated LO...
No family nearby (at least 2 hours away) and no close friends that are mothers and would know what to do for her.
I did take my dinner into the bathroom and ate while she soaked in some warm bubbly water (she was in her bath sling and I was on the edge of the tub, feet in the tub like we always do). She gave me this reproachful look for not devoting 100% to her in her time of need but I told her to suck it cause momma needs food to deal with her fussies ;-) Hopefully, she'll feel better in the morning...
Oh man, that situation stresses me out just to read about it! I hope everything gets better soon and you get some rest!!
I know what you mean about your LO being too medicated
My DS is on 2 reflux medications, Mylicon and Maalox when he is fussy, prescription butt cream for a yeast infection, and Calming Lotion for eczema! I feel awful giving all of this to him, but I know he needs most of it to feel better
