I know, you guys are sick of my questions!
We're celebrating our 5 year anniversary in Miami this weekend. I'm not familiar with it, so trying to plan something in a big city is hard!
My ideal weekend would be to go to a nice steakhouse for dinner (love Ruths Chris), then go to an upscale hip bar where they have live music or a jazz band or dancing or something like that. Maybe a walk along a river or water, a nice hotel, and then breakfast or brunch at a fun place the next morning. An area to walk would be nice, like shopping or ice cream or just something to do for the afternoon.
Does this sound like South Beach or Coconut Grove? Or maybe some other place I haven't thought of yet? Ft Lauderdale would work too.
Thanks!!
Re: Sorry, me again! Coconut Creek or South Beach?
Ditto! South Beach near Lincoln Road. Coconut Grove has some nice restaurants, but it's not what it used to be. I don't have recs for Ft Lauderdale.
Van *** Cafe on Lincoln Road has live jazz nightly in its upstairs room. You can check out their music schedule on their web site www.thevandykecafe.com . The restaurant at Van ***'s is also pretty good, but there are several great restaurants along Lincoln Road and in South Beach area.
