I am pumping during the day about every 3 hours and giving her my breastmilk in a bottle. ?At night I am giving her formula. ?I am not pumping at night or breastfeeding. ?I go about about 10 hours without pumping. ?Is this okay to do?
How old is your baby? I would say that is too long of a time span to go without stimulation of the breast (either nursing or pumping). Unless you are trying to wean? Or your baby is older, like 1 y.o.
I think that this is too long. I did that the first day or two and then now I wake up at his 3am feeding and pump. Otherwise, its just too painful for me to get back to sleep. it doesn't take that long to pump If anything, just pump at least once during the night with one of the feedings!
Even though you are doing formula at night, you should still try to pump at least once during that long span to stimulate supply. Even though you might be pumping enough now, as your DC needs more you are going to want more of a supply (assuming that you plan on continuing to pump)
Re: pumping question
If you are hoping to exclusively pump and get rid of the formula feedings, then YES you are going way too long without pumping.
I assume your baby is only a few weeks old based on your pregnancy ticker. At that age, you really need to be pumping every 2-3 hours, even at night.
Supply is not established until 12 weeks, and you need to be careful at first.
