those with LO in PT- hip huggers (spandex)?

Did anyones LO wear spandex hip huggers for therapy? Our therapist tried a pair on the LO and suggested I buy a pair. They looked cute...but I'm wondering if they actually do anything? If u did use them, did u buy them in a store or order online?

    Our therapist let us borrow a pair for as long as we needed. My dd had very low tone in her legs and was just letting them "frog out" when she laid on her back. It worked very well and now she doesn't wear them anymore b/c she has enough tone to move them and keep them from "frogging".

    We bought them. I know they're supposed to wear them when they're awake and active, but we actually put them on Dean while he's sleeping. His PT thinks they have helped tremendously with getting his legs not to frog out and be more in line with his body. His PT was skeptical of them at first and now she's a believer!

    We used them, but really barely at all.  I ordered two pairs and I don't think we put her in them more than a few times.  They're pretty tiny (DD was only 4-5 months at the time) or I would send them to you free, if you want.  If your LO is on the small side, though, I'm happy to do it anyway and you can try them out.

    Luckyfrog...thank you for the offer...my LO is very tiny (18 lbs) but I have to the feeling they would still be too small? I'll have to look at the size chart. I'd pay you the shipping if its the right size but she may need a little bigger.

    *laughing* OMG, I never thought I'd find anyone whose LO was as small as my DD!  She's 18 lbs too, getting close to 19 but hasn't made it yet.  :)

    DD's hiphelpers are Size B (I just went and dug the pink pair out of her toychest - yeah, not sure why it was in there, but oh well).  I'm honestly looking at them and thinking it's possible they would still fit her - they're very stretchy.  Their size chart is based on waist measurements, etc., so it's possible that your LO would fit in these.
