I am ready to kill Pampers.

WHY would they change their diapers?? The new Dry Max SUCKS.  My daughter wakes up wet every morning!  After this pack I'm switching.  What other diapers have you found that you love?  A close second to the old cruisers/swaddlers?

Re: I am ready to kill Pampers.

  • Target diapers are awesome and literally, half the price!  I never tried anything other than Pampers with #1, but thought wth with #2...and I'm disgusted by how much $ I wasted the first time around!!

  • I'm so glad my sister already told me how sucky Pampers are now so I won't waste my money with the new baby's diapering.

  • I agree--why the hell would they change them? ugh!

I'll definitely be giving the target diapers a shot with #2.   thanks for the suggestion. :)

  • I really like Target brand and Luvs. I agree, the new pampers suck. DD's constantly leaking through!
  • I used Target's diapers for Grace and LOVED them and their price :)

We still use Huggies Overnights for both kids at night.

    Good Luck!

  • I like target's diapers, too.   Pampers didn't changed the baby dry diapers and I also like them.  Maybe you should try those.  GL!
  • I hated Huggies and Pampers. Target diapers were my favorite and rarely gave me problems.

  • I'd call and complain. I bought a box of Swaddlers (84 pack) and the top seam wasn't sealed, so the inside gel balls got all.over. DS. I complained and they sent me a refund in the form of coupons. I bought another pack of Swaddlers and they are fine. But, if enough people complain, they might change them back.

I use Target for daytime and Pampers at night. Huggies smell like urine to me the instant pee touches the diaper.

  • Another vote for Target diapers.  When DD1 was little, they didn't work for her.  But they've improved them a LOT since then and we've been using them for DD2 for almost a year now.  You cannot beat the price!  Plus I constantly get coupons at checkout so they do wind up at HALF the price of Pampers.

My only "complaint" is that I wish they'd make the pattern a little more gender-neutral.  I wish the dots were yellow and green instead of blue and green.  Not something that is a deal-breaker and for the price I can live with it.

ETA: We do use the Pampers overnights at night.

  • Pampers has has excellent customer service - it's definitely worth a call to them, asking for a refund (they have offered me either $$ back or coupons - I always took the coupons b/c they were more generous).

I agree the dry max cruisers leave a lot to be desired.  I've been very pleased with the Pampers Baby Dry diapers, however (and when I called Pampers a few years back to inquire what the true differences were between the old cruisers and the baby dry, they said it was really only the mesh liner that differentiated the two).

Target diapers do work well, too - I just don't like the slightly added thickness...

  • We are baby dry people! We have been ever since we outgrew swaddlers. No complaints at all here, except for maybe the price :) But we're sticking with them because they work!

  • I'm going to try the Target ones!  Thank you!
  • Baby Dry hasn't changed. Those are the only diapers that don't give DD rashes.

  • I switched to Baby Dry after the new Cruisers leaked poop all over Thomas' Easter outfit.  Now I'm thinking of giving the Target brand a try.

  • Has Target changed their diapers lately?  I tried those with DD1, and hated them.  I've been mostly a Costco diaper gal.  I'll also buy whatever I have a coupon for, or if something is on clearance.  I haven't tried Target brand with DD2 because I didn't want to waste my money on ones that wouldn't work.

We use overnight Huggies for DD2 now at night.  I've always hated Pampers.

Ditto!  We tried a few diapers with DD1--we may have even donated a portion of them because we disliked them so much.

Different kid, I thought I'd give them a try with DD2.  They are 100% different than the first time.  They are a little stiffer than Pampers, but we're talking about an $0.08 per diaper price difference (for size 4's)!  Pampers are about $0.24/diaper and the Target brand is about $0.16/diaper (usually cheaper because I get coupons all the time)!

  • I am the queen of trying all the generics and seeing what works best.  BJs brand was best for Anthony and CVS ultra thins for Jackson.
