Serious had the worst day ever. Vent!

Sometimes I just want to be like "Seriously, did that garbage just spew out of your mouth?" Had to work through some training today and then suffer through a meet. I work in healthcare and our facility has recently had major job loss for the overnights. Im pregnant and have a toddler. I have absolutly no family here to babysit and for the hours I would need, like 3am until 7am, I would be hard pressed to find daycare. Everyone is all passive aggressive about me nothing being able to stay! And I got told I had to cancel my sonogram on the 13th because I couldn't get the time off, isn't that like violation of the FMLA- or at least part of it? C'mon.. I really need a new job!!! Also no one takes responsiblity for their mistakes, I totally have no problem in saying someone refused XYZ care so I didn't do it- but no it gets pushed to everyone else! OK, thanks for letting me vent!

Ugh! I work in healthcare too so I know how frustrating it can be. I can't believe how insensitive they're being...is there someone you trust to go to that might be able to put in a word for you? Can you change to PRN status?? I did that, and it was the best decision for me. Good luck and update when you can.

Ya, we talked a little bit about that today. I haven't seen the OB yet, not until May 27th, my 1st real appointment. I was told, not from the source, that there was another preggo there last year whom started while about 5 months, she had to quit at 8 because they just were not abiding by the PRN. They even made her have a doctors note for excuse from doing combative people and sometimes you can't even predict people you think will be fine. Its just amazing to me, being in healthcare they are the least understanding people I've ever met. I figure, I haven't been there a year which doesn't make me eligible for for maternity leave, they'll just replace me anyway- I'll look for something now as Im not showing and it may be easier, whats there to loose since once the baby is born Im not going to have a job!
