I'm confused..what makes it a dog's name?? Pets can be named whatever you like them to be. It's not like I asked for your opinion and spellings of Spot, Clifford, Buddy etc (clearly dog's names) Just curious.....
I like #1! The "z" makes it seem less country to me (not that it is an overly country name or anthing). Cute name! For what its worth, my dogs are Bella, Madison and Jackson, which are all perfectly fine human OR dog names!
Love love love it! It's DD's name- we spell it Maisy. It does sometimes get mispronounced as Macy, though, but not too often. I've been very happy with the choice of DD's name.
Love the name! This was the name of a close friend on my grandmothers who passed when I was very young, but I have great memories of her. I don't know how she spelled it, but I think I prefer #3 myself. I would worry that without the 'Mai' people might pronounce 'mazzy' rather than 'may' for the first syllable and I prefer the 'ie' to the 'y' at the end. I'm indifferent to the z vs. s.

My first year of teaching, I had the sweetest little girl named/spelled Maisy. Love the name! ?
?Oh, and for a mn, she was "Maisy Joy" which totally fit her.??

I like Maisie.
When I saw Mazie, I thought you had misspelled Maize, and was confused as to why you'd want to name a child that.
I like Maisy.
And for the record all of our pets have VERY "human" names.
Do not like this name at all.
Out of the spellings you have listed, I would go with #2
Adorable, especially with Sophia.
I like Maisie which I think is the "traditional" spelling. I would pair it with something pretty classic - Elizabeth, Grace, Claire, Katherine, etc.
Cute!
This exactly!
I think it's a sweet name that will work for a child or an adult.
2 out of 3 of my dogs have people names as well. Bailey and Brandy.
No biggie.
"Even miracles take a little time"
I'm not a fan of the name if it's intended to be prounounced may-zee. I like may-cee better, but to each their own.
As for spellings, I'd go with #2.
