My son is 1 month old! Plus, DH's new tattoo! (PsIP)

I cannot believe how fast time has flown by! Ethan was really born on March 31st but there aren't 31 days in every month so I'm calling him one month old today. I love my Lil Man!

The tattoo pic is of DH's left arm. He actually did this tattoo himself in my kitchen. Long story but it turned out pretty good...and better than paying a tattoo artist $180 like he was quoted.

DD is one month old today too! She was born on March 30. I have the picky sticky stickers, but didn't manage to get a picture of her in her onesie today. Will have to do it tomorrow.

Thanks, it really isn't that hard to do a tattoo---unless you free hand them. DH did his own really easy. He found the font he wanted online, printed it, then traced it on transfer paper. That made the stencil he put on his arm then "colored in the lines." He's done a few for his friends too. I told him he needs to start charging for it.

Sorry not to be rude but there is WAY more to tattooing then printing out an outline and coloring it in. True tattooing is an art form not only that there are many other aspects such as sterilization. No reputable tattoo artist is going to tattoo in a kitchen because you can not get it sterilized properly and what say the autoclave used to sterilize the machines? Plus a tattoo is the one thing you will always have so I just personally never understand how some people have no problem spending more money on an outfit then something they will have on their body for their entire life. ( My brother is a tattoo artist and has been for the past 10 years and also owns his own shop.)

Your husband looks like he did a good job but doing a tattoo IS a hard thing when it's done as art.

Thanks! DH has done maybe a combined 8 tattoos on himself and friends. Everything he has done was from a stencil. He bought the tattoo kit online originally to finish the tribal he has on his right shoulder/arm that he was quoted $500 to finish.

Wow, I can't believe he DIYed a tattoo. It actually looks pretty good! My mom got Eliana's name tattooed on her arm when she was 3 days old!

No offense taken. I agree that free-handing a tattoo is an art form. But, anyone can purchase a kit online for $250 and have a good result from it. The kit comes with everything needed...gloves, needles, stencils, transfer paper and even a sharps container. Besides, with DH doing the tattoo on himself in our kitchen assured me to two things--we saved about $400 instead of going to a real tattoo shop and we knew the needle he used was sterile. To each his own right?
