Need creative ideas!

My DH & I decided not to paint the nursery since we will be moving about 5 months after the baby is born so now I need ideas on how to make a plain white room really cute.

The baby is a girl and the bedding has different shades of pink and green stripes and dots. The rest of the decor is a "Sweet Shop" theme. I'm going to decorate with cupcakes, ice cream cones, and other candy shop type stuff.

Any ideas on what I can do to make the room look not so bare?

You can just do appliques instead. A.C. Moore had a ton last night stripes, dots shapes, animals, flowers....

Vinyl letters/pictures are a good alternative to painting. You basically just peel and stick, and when you want to take them down just pull them off!

Hang a quilt on the wall. It doesn't even have to be a baby quilt but maybe a quilt with coordinating colors. HomeGoods or TJ Maxx or Marshalls sells them at reasonable prices. They add color texture and can be taken down and moved. I'm a huge fan of quilts.

I second the idea for appliqu?s. They are becoming really popular and there are a ton of different choices. You could also do wall letters. Instead of the wooden letters that everyone seems to be doing, I am going to make letters with paper and frame them with some neat scrap booking paper so that they take up more room on the wall.
