If you are not having sex, you should not have a period. I have not had sex in a year and I don't plan to have sex any time soon. I got my period 6 weeks PP even though I was EBFing. Right now, my uterus feels like it is twisting into knots and stabbing itself with a large knife simultaneously. And, that is probably what is happening considering the amount of blood I'm losing (...sorry). Periods are only good when you're praying that they come because you got some really hot action the week before.
I thought there was hope for me and my fatal menstrual cycle when I'd heard that having babies can make it shorter/lighter/longer between periods/etc. AF has been beating the fvck out of me for YEARS. I'm not sure what about having a kid made me think she wouldn't come back to haunt me.

Dear Aunt Flo:
Go away, you are not wanted, you miserable old biitch!
I hear yah! I got mine about 5 months PP and noticed it was definitely heavier. Not fun at all-especially after the 14 month break. Maybe try BCP? They seemed to lighten mine.
And BTW-you never know when you're gonna get some hot action
I have lost all hope for "hot action" any time soon. I would pass up the sex for no periods for a while... seriously. I am thinking about getting Mirena, actually, since it is good for 5 years and I don't want any more kids for a long while. But man. I would not be surprised to go pee and see that my uterus has fallen into the toilet. It hurts that bad. W.T.F.
I still haven't started mine. It was supposed to be my 3rd PP period...but I'm 4 weeks late.
I've taken 3 tests and they're all negative. WTF, Aunt Flo? WTF?
i was way opposite on this one. i loved my paragaurd untill i was admitted to the ER for what they decided to call severe abdominal pain. so i had the paragaurd taken out and replaced with the mirena. ugh, what a nightmare. i didnt stop bleeding the whole time it was in. i had it taken out. i plan tying up the tubes after this one. i have no desire to have more children.
FYI- I had the Mirena and it was great (or so I thought) until I went to get it removed. The string had fallen off, and the IUD migrated. They rooted around for it for about an hour (worst pain ever) and after they couldn't get it (because it had migrated) I had to have surgery to remove it. The recovery from the removal was almost as bad as from my c-section.
the first year you're more than likely not going to be regular. mine didn't become regular until about 18m pp
