How far out are you taking classes?

I'm planning on taking a childbirth prep class offered by the hospital. Options are 1 month from my due date, or 2 months...

I'm thinking the 1 month may be cutting it close (What if I ever went early), but 2 months I may forget things.

I'll be 26-27 weeks for both the childbirth and newborn care classes.

I am starting my hypnobirthing classes the first week in June and the class is 5 weeks long.

My birthing class is scheduled for July 19th and I am due August 13th. The hospital scheduled ours based on due date and class size. I think this is plenty of time for me.

I'm taking mine 2 months before my due date, as suggested by my hospital. You might check with your hospital and/or practitioner to see which they recommend. I understand your conundrum, though!

Due to DH schedule, we are cutting our childbirth class really close. We have 4 classes, once a week and I will finish the last class about one week before I'm due. There was no other way around it... just hope the kiddo will hold on so I can finish the class.

I think I am going to take mine pretty early, around 6 months. The one the hospital offers is an all inclusive labor and delivery, breast feeding, newborn care, etc class. I figure if I take it early then if I feel like I need a more involved birthing class I will still have time.

My childbirth class is next weekend--I'll be 35 weeks. I'm also taking a BF class b/t 35 and 36 weeks and an Infant CPR class at 37 weeks. Lots of classes coming up!
