3rd Trimester

how do i get these flinstone feet to go away?!

I CANNOT for the life of me make my feet de-swell.. its uncomfortable and gross. I've tried elevating them and drinking tons of water and its not helping. Someone tell me there's another way. I'm wearing cropped pants because its warm out and can't stand the sight of my feet!

  • Hate to break it to you, but you're most likely stuck with those feet for a while.  You never get used to them.

  • I figured, I was just hoping. They did this a few weeks ago and went down on their own.. and now the dreaded cankles are back.

Ps your siggy pic is so cute! Look at that smile!!

  • : ) That's what I call mine too.

There was a post below that mentioned drinking lots water with fresh lemon helps with some of the water retention.

    Thanks:)

Yeah, mine would go back down after a night's rest at first, then one day I woke up and they never went back to normal.  It sucks, but there are definitely worse things that could be going on.

  • My Dr told me bananas and protein. The past three days I've eaten 2 bananas a day and increased my protein (even just a simple Naked Juice Protein drink) and it has helped tremendously! I can see bones again!

ETA:This is also of course along with drinking plenty of water and balancing out, elevation (feet above my heart), laying on my left side, and up walking around.

Oh I'll try that! I need more protein anyway, I have low iron. Thanks!

  • LOL...hide them with socks and running shoes. LOL

    I'm in the same boat.

  • Try wrapping ice packs around each ankle for about an hour - it feels so good and reduces the swelling for a little while.  My SIL taught DH how to wrap them for me and it's been my nightly "treat".
