When I was in the hospital I was told to wait to have sex until 8 weeks pp. I know the norm is 6 weeks so I am not sure if there would be any reason why I was told 8 weeks. I had a c/s if that makes a difference. Was anybody else told more than 6 weeks?

I had a c section and was told 6 weeks.. and when i had my 6 weeks appt the dr told me it was ok to start again whenever i was ready.

I had a c/s and got the all-clear at my 4-week follow-up this week. Got on the mini-pill, and got some condoms and lube and had a very successful sexy time last night!!

I had my 4 week pp appt and was told to wait at least 2 more weeks; but she (dr) would prefer if I could hold out 2 months; I tore really badly. If you did as well that may be why.

ETA: Duh me, you had a c/s so the tearing wouldn't apply to you. sorry. nevermind my answer.
