4 months old and separation anxiety?

  Our LO has just started this! If DH or I put him down or leave the room he gets really upset. He's just started being extremely clingy and I've been wondering if it's a phase, not sure what's going on. But it's making my days very difficult....LOL.

  I was going to ask this question too. DD has just started doing this in the last few days. As long as I'm within her line of sight, she's ok. But if I leave the room she starts crying. Earlier today she was in her bouncy on the floor, I would bend down and play with her and she would smile and squeal. When I sat back up and looked at the computer she started screaming.   my lil guy is 5 months and Im having the same problem, it just started this week. If I lay him in the crib and stay in the room hes smiling the minute I leave cry cry cry...come back in the crying stops automatically...I hope this doesnt last very long

  Lilly has started doing this within the last few weeks. She's ok to be by herself in a room for a short while, but eventually she'll start screaming for me or Eric.

  On the other hand, she has MAJOR stranger anxiety. I makes me laugh and it makes me kinda sad for the family member wanting to hold her. My parents get to see her weekly (we live closest to them) and usually, she'd be fine with one of them holding her right when we first got there, but now, she'll scream if they try to grab her within the first 30 mins or so of being there. Then she's fine, and loves to be held by them...its like she just has to warm up to them I guess.
