I started with rice cereal, then carrots, wax beans, bananas, green beans, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and then pears.
She loves everything but the pears and bananas. All of these are from the jar. I do plan on making my own food once we get a better routine going and I know what she likes, etc.
I thought maybe it was because they were so soupy so I took a real banana and mashed it and it was even worse. She actually gagged and almost threw up.
I'm on a day where I can start something else new. Should I try a different fruit like apples or peaches or pick another vegetable?
Sorry this is so long.
Re: still fairly new to solids but LO seems to hate fruit so far... anyone else?
That's a good idea. Sweet potato and apple is a really good combination.
DS took a long time to enjoy solids. At first I was worried because he didn't seem to like anything, or he would eat a few bites of something then not want any more. It can take 10+ times of trying a new food for babies to like it. Maybe wait a few days and try the banana again, or mix it with something he already likes. Banana and avocado is a good combo.
"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
I have yet to find a food DS will eat. He can smell it before it even gets to his mouth and he will refuse to taste.
So far we've tried avocado, butternut squash, apples and banana
