is there such a thing as pre-postpartum depression? like life would be better if 'i' wasnt pregnant and no longer wanting to be pregnant? and so on...?
has anyone experienced something like that? bad thoughts and depression and your baby isn't even here yet.
*i would never hurt my daughter, i love her so much already.
Re: PRE-postpartum depression????
im worried if being on medication if that would effect my court situation with my ex. would me being on anti-depressents look bad on me if my ex decides he wants to take me to court for custody. i doubt he would, cause all he cares about is not paying child support.
but... if i am on medication for depression does that look bad on me as a mother? and bad to the courts, that i need help with handling a baby.
Do we have the same ex???
My lawyer and all of my doctors told me "no". Having depression during pregnancy puts you at a higher risk for getting PPD. It is better to be treated now so you are in a good place to take of your baby.
I have been on Zoloft since I was 19 weeks. While I am not 100% yet I am definitely better than I was back in February.
If you have any questions you can PM.
Good Luck!

So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
Ugh, so sorry you're going through this. That sounds like a rough situation. Honestly, depression that goes untreated can lead to worse things - please don't let the court situation scare you. If things get worse with your depression, that won't help your case, ykwim? I can't imagine any lawyer/doc would recommend putting off treatment. And, you may not need meds. Talk therapy may help you - maybe seeing a therapist a few days a week is the answer for you. I would encourage you to reach out to your doc tomorrow to discuss your options.
makes you wonder how many douche bags are really out there, huh???
thank you moms for replying!!
i have an OB appointment on the 7th, i could discuss it with her than. i'm so terrified i'll be judged by my doctor, but thats part of her job right? im sure shes seen in many of times.
zoloft is pregnancy safe? ill mention that to my doc.
thank you mommies!
I hope I hit my limit of DBs and one day I will find a true gentleman :-)

If your doctor judges you then you need to find a new one. They are there to make sure you and your baby are safe and healthy.
Zoloft and Prozac are considered two of the safer drugs to take while pregnant because nothing is 100%.
If you google antepartum depression you will find info. It is talked about more now. It really is worse for the mom to go untreated than taking the medicine.
www.otispregnancy.org has info about meds on it. You can also call and talk to someone. The lady I talked to was super nice.

I suffered through APD horribly before having to seek psychotherapy and medication to save my babies at 22 weeks.
Please see my description to another bumpie in the post paging me a few down.
Let me know if I can help you in any way. I would love to talk if you need it.
