My hair is pretty long. Its half-way down my back. I feel like its just been weighing me down lately. Half the time, its in a pony tail, and I feel like crap because of it. I was the type of girl that never-ever-ever had her hair in a pony tail, and now, that is the only look I rock. So I'm thinking of chopping it off, and getting a shoulder length style. I was thinking of doing lockes (sp?) for love, but I don't think my hair is long enough, and I thought I read that they don't take it if you color your hair. Anyways, who else did the "mom" cut? How did you like it?
Re: Getting a "mom" haircut
Haha, so I already have a mom cut.
I hate being hot and w/Summer right around the corner I knew I needed to get it done. Super easy to maintain.
GL!
I did. I have a chin length bob with a few layers. Very mom. I was pretty upset when I first got it. I went to the hairdresser wearing a fleece and tennis shoes and carrying my big, cheap purse (the one that I don't care if a bottle leaks into). I was horrified when I saw myself in the mirror. I looked like I belonged in a minivan commercial.
Now, I really like it. I find that I actually look more professional most days since my hair is done and not a frizzy mess pulled back into a ponytail.
3 weeks after DD was born, I went in for my "mom" cut. My hair was past my shoulders and layered before, but I got it cut shorter than chin length. For me, it's been the best hairstyle ever! It turns out that my hair is curly at this lenghth, so I all I have to do is wash it and let it dry on it's own. It's the cutest 'do I've ever had!
So don't be afraid of trying something new. It's hair, it'll grow back if you hate it.
as for locks of love, I'd call a participating salon and see what the say.
Good Luck!
