baby shower cake

my mom and MIL are hosting my shower and are out of state and want me to pick out a baby shower cake/baker. ?We used Cinda for our wedding cake but she is super expensive and I'd like to try something different this time. ?Any suggestions? ?Anyone tried the Cupcake Shoppe? ?TIA!

If you are thinking about cupcakes, I would highly suggest getting inexpensive ones anywhere (Harris Teeter, Lowes) and getting custom fondant toppers on etsy. We just did this for a shower I through and they were a hit!
