Babies: 9 - 12 Months

So, at 35 weeks pregnant my friend found out

that her little "girl" is in fact a little boy!

She had an ultrasound today to check on the size of baby since she has GD.  Well, what a shocker when the tech pointed out the baby's penis!

I feel bad for my friend just because they have been calling this baby by name, had her room ready and 2 out of 4 showers done with a TON of pink stuff!

  • Wow. That was always my biggest fear with having a girl. Poor thing. Hope she can return stuff!

  • Oh My!  I think worse then all the pink stuff is coming to turns that your "little girl" is a "little boy".  Wow...This is another reason I'm glad I was on Team Green. haha!

  • I would freak!  I thought it was going to happen with my third.  Right after she came out I even asked my best friend if it was for sure a girl lol.
  • Oh my gosh, I would flip out.

  • I can't even imagine! Like someone above said, just calling the baby by name for soo long and then finding out.  It's still a blessing to have a happy healthy baby, but man that's got to be tough.

Me too!  We had multiple u/s that said we were going to have a girl.  All along, people kept commenting that I was going to have a boy because of the way I was carrying.  Even perfect strangers asked if I was having a boy.  Totally made me second guess...

Even during labor I was asking my husband to help decide on a boy name just in case!

I was so happy when the doctor yelled out "It's a Girl!!!"  I breathed a sigh of relief hahaha...

  • This just happened to one of my friends at 32 weeks pregnant!!  I would be so stressed out.

  • This is why we stayed Team Green.  I also know two other women who had similar situations in the past year (although they didn't find out until the actual birth).
  • I think I would die. If I ever here the ultrasound tech say it's a girl, I think my next stop will be the 3D/4D ultrasound place to confirm.

  • I was paranoid that it was going to happen to us.  We even did a gender neutral nursery and got all gender neutral things besides clothes just in case.  I only had 1 ultrasound, and DD wasn't cooperating that well, so when they told me in the delivery room that it was a girl I was so relieved.  I can't imagine having everything set up for a girl and finding out that late in the game that your baby is a boy.  Hopefully she is able to exchange everything.

  • Wow, that would be hard if you already had it set in your mind you were having a girl.  Having to re do the room would not be fun either!
  • this is why i'm glad i was told a boy early on. if i was told a girl, i would have been nervous.

    hopefully she saved the receipts!

  • One of the many reasons why I stayed on Team Green.

Your poor friend, especially since they'd named the baby :(

  • Oh no!

I hope they can return some items.

The first thing I asked at my 35 week ultrasound was: "is he still a boy?"

    Thankfully, he was.
