Gagging on Sophie

we were at a friends house this last weekend. their LO has a Sophie and my DD immediately grabbed it and started sucking on it. Now I really want to get her one but i keep reading posts (not on the bump) about their kids gagging on the legs.

Has anyone had this issue? or is it such a rare thing that i shouldn't worry?

    Once in a great while DS will shove a leg too far in his mouth and gag a little.. but as long as you're watching them I don't worry about it- Sophie is too big for him to swallow.

    We don't have a Sophie, but DD gags while sucking on her own hands/fingers from time to time.

    Haha. My DD gags more on her fingers than on Sophie. She likes it. I like that it is natural rubber, not petroleum based.

    Yes, totally worth the price...Meggie LURVES her Sophie...and she does gag a bit on it from time to time, but no more than her hands....:)

    Sorry for the late response...

    Yeah- because DH and I are trying to be committed in having as few toys as possible and instead of five $3 toys we have one Sophie.

    She wasn't super interested in it at first (we got it early last week). I was a little worried at first that I wasted 15 bucks. Now she likes it more and has an easier time grasping and manipulating it. Now that I think about it, Sophie is a pretty dynamic toy because it can be squeezed, held from all angles with different "handles" (eg neck, legs, body), twisted....

    I like it (so does DD), no regrets!
