Really silly question, but I can't bring myself to ask the pedi or the nurses there about the copay for the twins once they are born. If you have a copay, do you pay twice if your children are scheduled at the same time/appt?
How about delivery? I know with one, we paid. But will it be different or more for twins (even if it's a vag. again? I know a C-Section is obviously more even for a singleton)
Thanks for being patient with my goofy questions!
Re: Delivery cost and Pedi costs
Call your insurance company. Also confirm with them that nothing will change by the time you deliver.
Definitely talk to your insurance company. Overall, yep, it's two copays at the pedi office, although I only have copays for sick visits and well checks/immunizations are covered 100% for each child.
Our policy also covered maternity 100%, but it got tricky because the girls were in the NICU. If they hadn't, it would have been covered 100% like my c-section and hospital stay. However, since they were "sick" they were considered under the medical benefits, which meant we were responsible for something like 15% of each of their NICU bills and neonatologist bills. Definitely clarify with your insurance company how it would treat each potential situation so you aren't surprised in the end.

For me it's one co-pay for the delivery (no matter how many babies or if you're having a c/s or vaginal birth). Since it's considered an in-patient stay I pay that co-pay and everything else is covered.
I'm not sure about the pedi, I would assume it's two co-pays but that's a good question. Call your insurance to verify or ask the pedi, I'm sure that's a very typical question.
Call your insurance, but in general....
Two co-pays for two kids for their doctor's appts. One co-pay for mom for delivery.
The method of my delivery (vaginal vs. c-section) made no difference as far as my co-pay for my insurance. Thank god I have good insurance, my hospital bills were over $100K per child!! My out-of-pocket was just my $500 co-pay.
