I hear you on the MIL front. They came this weekend and the weekend before. She plucked him out of my grandmother's arms this weekend when he was crying. I could have killed her!! She is such a baby nazi!!
I've been lucky that I live far away from my family and haven't had to defend my parenting style much. Not only are we visiting family for a week starting Friday, but we are going to be moving closer to family for a year in a few months. I will be living w/ my grandparents while DH is in training. God help me!
I'm curious, what did you say back?

Baby is sleeping on my lap right now after nursing (passed out on the Boppy actually haha). MIL suggested we put her in the carseat to sleep. I said no.
I carried her for 9+ months, I want her near me. I don't see how holding a three week old baby can do any harm. She cries when she's alone and I don't blame her.
