Anyone know what is a good crib brand?

We have a recalled crib. It cannot be fixed and needs to be returned. Hence, we are in search of a new crib. I have no idea where to begin as I want to try to find one that does not have a high likelihood of being recalled. However, we will not get a full refund for our crib, so it has to be one that is not overly expensive (less than $250...maybe $300 at most).

ETA: right now I am looking at some stork craft cribs..don't know how good they are.

Stork craft had a huge recall within the last couple years. Baby Bargains rated them very low. I thought I was doing so well with the Graco I purchased so I don't have any better suggestions.

We got our Munire crib on sale for under $300. very sturdy, not a drop side, converts to a toddler, then double bed.

We bought our crib from Baby Depot. I called them tonight and they told me that our crib is not recalled. However, it is clearly stated in black and white on the CPSC's website that it is recalled. I tried calling the CPSC, but they are only in until 5:30.

I told Baby Depot that it is on the CPSC website, but I just spoke to an associate and he said there was nothing he can do other than go by the list he has. He took my name and number and said he would have the manager call me back (but it may not be until Saturday).

We have the Davinci Emily crib. I believe that it has never been recalled. We have it in white and love it. The crib itself is sturdy and has held up so well (DS has even tried to bite through it and jumps all the time in his crib)

We have a DaVinci crib and have not had any recalls on it. We do not have a dropside and it seems like a lot of dropsides get recalled.

if is one the new recalls they might now have the info yet. Still awful customer service. I had a lot of fun dealing with LaJobi and Target today. Target had no clue about the recall, thankfully they where really helpful.

We have an Amy Coe crib and it's SUPER good - sturdy, the wood is of great quality, DS basically had his way with it yet it still looks beautiful.

Yes, it is one of the recalls that came out today. We have a simplicity crib and it is not a drop side. The recall is for the support for the mattress. They told me they may get an update in a few days, however, he knew what I was talking about w/ the recall, so apparently they have some info on it....just not on our crib.

We have a DaVinci Parker Crib and LOVE it. I think ours is $259 on Amazon no tax, free shipping. We haven't had a problem with it and haven't heard of anyone else having issues.
