the show A Baby Story

Hi all,  I usually post on the Nest, but now that theres a military families board here Ill prob hang here as well :)  I have a 3 month old named Savannah Joy.

So anyway, I thought this was going to get better BUT. To this day I cannot watch A Baby Story without bursting into tears every time a baby is born!

    I hear ya! My OB even told me to stop watching them when I was pregnant cause I would come in with a bazillion crazy/hormonal questions about labor...she knew I was hooked on those shows LOL!!

    Yup, me too....I was okay for the first maybe 6-8 weeks after my DD was born.....but after that, I CANNOT watch it  :-(

    Too emotional....

    It's presented most of the time as too cookie cutter perfect and since my life is not, I don't like it.

    I'm bad that way.

    For most of the episodes I agree. Unless theres some serious screaming going on its just not typical :D I just watched an at-home waterbirth that actually showed a good portrayal of how bad that frickin hurts.

    My midwives are on the show from time to time so I always taped them to watch out for their births - usually in the water and always realistic. My doula was even in a few of them!

    I am right there with you. I was so bad when I was pg that my DH kept threatening to put a parental lock on TLC so I couldn't watch!
