Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Are your periods regular yet?

I've had one postpartum period almost five weeks ago. I told myself I wouldn't freak out until after this weekend, easier said than done.

I stopped BFing about three months ago, so that isn't the problem. Does it just take a while for postpartum periods to become regular again?

Re: Are your periods regular yet?

  • I have had PP periods since 3 months and they still are irregular.

  • With the exception of one, I have been regular since September and had DD June 30th.

  • Mine were regular from the get-go after both pregnancies. Everyone's body is different :)
  • No clue...just started my first one 2 days ago literally while my OB was doing an internal.  She was like "Looks like you have your period or are just starting it"  I was mortified...I had no idea I was starting it...no cramps or sore boobies,  etc.  This has been a weird period so far...very heavy with no cramps.

I haven't had a period since Jan '09, I was enjoying the vacation...

  • what period?  I'm still waiting, so I guess yes, it is regular in that it hasn't come back!

  • I've had 3 so far and all have been completely out of wack. If I didn't have an IUD I would think I was pregnant.
  • Mine are still a little out of whack.  The cycles are longer than they used to be (30-33 days long instead of my old 28).  We're TTC too so it makes it kind of hard to predict. I have no idea how long it takes to get completely back to normal.

  • Mine are much more regular pp than they ever were pre-pregnancy - go figure.

So yeah, everyone's body is different. GL! Go POAS! :)

  • Period?  Haven't had one since 2008 (I EBFed for 6 months, but have since added solids and 1-2 servings of formula).  Any day now...
  • I would POAS but I am too embarrassed to be seen at the checkout with an hpt and a five month old baby. Lame, I know. Besides, it is highly unlikely that I would be pregnant. I'm going to try to make it through the weekend first.
