I'm about 20 minutes from the booming metropolis that is Harrisburg (It's actually the capital, but most people think either Philly or Pittsburgh is... Harrisburg is a small city compared to them.)
I was technically born in Andover, NJ however our house here was just delayed being built because of a blizzard- so we moved here when I was like, 3 months old. I grew up here :-)
After I graduated high school in 2006, I went to college near Pittsburgh at a school called Wyoming Technical Institute where I got my degree in Chassis Fabrication and High Performance Engines with an emphasis on welding specialty metals. I took an accelerated program and graduated in 9 months.
Then, I moved to Laguna Niguel, CA to take a welding internship at a well known metal fabrication shop in Socal... after my 3 month internship I moved back here :-)
Now, I actually work in real estate from home full time, but DH and I have a motorsports company on the side that all of my technical knowledge goes into :-) He races a limited late model and I'm his crew chief :-) Well, I'm not his official crew chief- but when he wrecks it, I put it back together for him :-)
Sounds like an awesome job! How is Socal? Ive heard its nice to visit!
I live in Central Florida. About 40 minutes from Disney. And no, I dont go thre all the time. I dont even think I can tell you the last time I went. Haha.
Ive lived in FL my whole life. I will not leave. Its too cold everywhere else. Yes, we get to occassional hurricane or 2 (or 4) but its ok.
I have to mention that I hate the water. This is funny because FL is um...a penensula. I am surrounded.
I grew up in Gainesville (Go Gators!!) and miss it sometimes, but this is my home. I am close to my mom and my In-laws so Im happy.
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)

SoCal was amazing...the weather is like nowhere I have ever been before... no humidity, just beautiful. It was just way too expensive for us to relocate there, but we go back about twice/year because we have friends there- it's great to visit :-)
I don't blame you at all about not wanting to leave Florida- it's beautiful! It is too funny that you hate the water...you're one side away from living on an island :-P
That's great that you're near your family. We are within 15 miles of both of our entire families, which is wonderful... but it's most wonderful because our families are good at not "popping in", lol. It could be terrible if they were pop-in kind of people. :-P
Do you have any siblings? Are they near you? Do they have kids?
Both set of parents have a key to our house and in 5 years have NEVER abused the power. Haha. My mom actually lives in the same neighborhood as I do. Works out very nicely when theres an emergency like "Im cooking XYZ and I have no milk!"
I have many siblings and none at the same time. I am one of 7 from my dad (oldest) and 1 of 1 from my mom. I actually dont talk to most of them- I wasntound a lot when they were growing up because of my horrific relationship with my dad. However, I do have 2 beautiful half sisters that are my life. Lyndsey and Rayvenn. They are 19 and 20 and I still see them as 4 and 5 sometimes. They live in Miami so I dont get to see them often. I will however get to see them this weekend at my cousins wedding and I'm telling them im pg! Theyve only been asking for 3 years.
I have no nieces or nephews from them. Lyndsey (20) had a m/c last year which was hard- especially because i was 1 of only 3 people who even knew she was pregnant.
What about you- siblings?
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)
Awe, I'm so sorry to hear about her loss, that's heartbreaking... That's nice that you are close with 2 of your half-siblings :-)
I have 3 older brothers who are 12,10 and 8 years older than me. I have 7 nieces and 1 nephew between the 3 of them, the oldest being 5 :-) So holidays at my parent's house are INSANE, lol! But, they're all so much fun and I love it when we all get together.
DH and I both have large families... but his parents were divorced when he was young and both remarried. His Mom never had any other kids, but his Dad did have a girl to another 'lady' (I use that term very loosely). Now DH and his sister aren't in touch too much because of the situation between her mom and his dad... it's ugly. There's a 15 year age gap between them though, so I hope that when she's older they'll be able to have a better relationship.
How long have you been with your dh? How did you meet?
I think it's awesome you guys have large families. I have virtually no family..but that's a story for another day. As far as my half sisters, you will never hear me refer to them as anything other than my sisters. Those girls are my heart. I have a difficult time with Zee sometimes- she's been very very different since out dad died. But those girls are my world. I would die for them.
DH and I.. We met while I was seeing a real a-hole. After spending a year being friends he finally convinced me to findthe courage to leave the guy. Then he waited a whole month to ask me out! By then we were already completely in love. We just needed to say it. The rest is history.
What about you? What's the story of Romeo and Juliet?
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)
Awe, he really was your 'Prince in Shining Armor' *Cue the doves and the harps* :-) hahaha. That's very cool, I like him already if he got you away from an idiot!
We met 6 years ago, I was working at a car stereo shop and he was a customer... I always thought he was cute and then one day he came in and his whole arm and leg were bandaged up. He proceeded to tell me he was working in his garage and his fire wasn't very hot in his wood stove so he decided to throw a cup of paint thinner in it and caught himself on fire when it flashed out on him. My exact words were, "Wow, you are a real idiot." We became friends, a year later we started dating and 4 years later we got engaged :-) and we got married last August 22nd. He was my best friend literally since that day- it was like we knew each other forever :-) *warm fuzzy feelings start...NOW* haha.
There is quite an age difference though (he was 21 and I was 16 when we met) so, for that year, he spent TONS of time with me at my parent's house because they would not let us go out until they were sure of his intentions. Any guy who hangs out with a girl at her parents house watching movies with the family and playing cards (literally, we weren't even allowed in my bedroom together, even if the door was open!) instead of going out to bars with his friends deserves a medal- or really deserves me :-) haha!
Re: *Juliet*
says the person who is actually IGNORING my gchat the this very moment.
Cooper+Evie=Soulmates

I would tell you that I'm really flexible and don't have a gag reflex... That's the line that got me married! Hahaha, kidding :-)
I would tell you that you look really pretty tonight :-)
I'm not good at talking about myself without being prompted... What would you like to know love, I'm an open book, ask away :-)!
::spits det coke all over screen::
Well I like my girls nice and loose!
Where in PA are you? Did you grow up there or move there later?
Cooper+Evie=Soulmates

Hehe, nice!
