We are moving 400 miles away in a week and a half. In the next 6 weeks we'll be driving back and forth 4 times. And since I'm overwhelmed and not thinking, I already packed all their toys except 2 dolls and their kitchen foods.
So I'm heading to target tonight - 5 Below is an option too. What ideas do you have of small toys to keep them occupied? The girls are 3.5 and 1.5.

Lacing cards and beads, TAG reader, Letter magnets on a metal sheet....I'm drawing a blank on the rest.
I hope you kept the DVD player handy. That is a lifesaver on long trips!
COLORFORMS! Let them stick them to the car windows.
For the older one, you could get lacing things. I don't even know the technical name but these....

Actually, you could probably even do these for the younger girl....

Portable DVD players with movies are a MUST!
Any of the LeapFrog toys....you know, the write and scribble one. The cell phone. The magnetic one with the letters (Fridge Phonics, I think it's called).
MagnaDoodle
Clipboard with white paper and lots of stickers. I like the twisty Crayons for the car.
Food, food, food
Doctor kit - my DD plays with hers for hours and does checkups on all her animals
New kid songs on iPod. Several Skippyjon Jones books also come with CDs of the author reading the book.

We made 4 8 hour drives within a month, and didn't need a DVD player. The kids were awesome. We just brought some books, kid CDs, snacks and their fave stuffed critters, and stopped every once in a while to stretch and eat.
We never even used the little games we brought.
