Swing Set question

Anyone on here ever assembled one of those wooden swing set/slide/play houses?  Are they hard?  The reason I ask is that a neighbor is selling her swing set for $150 - normally I think it goes for over 1K.  She just wants it out of the yard.  It's in good shape - the only negative is we would have to break it down and reassmble.  DH is leary (he can do these type of things but hates doing them).  Sigh ...I would like to do it - but I am afraid it could turn into the project from he$$ ...

Re: Swing Set question

  • We got our wooden swing set from one of DH's friends that was done with it.  We had to take it apart to move it and then reessemble it.  IT was a little bit of a pain but not that bad.  My dad and DH's friend helped DH put it back together.  That's a great deal, and honestly my kids use their swing set all the time.  I would definitely do it.

  • We put ours up and it is not difficult at all.  It is just VERY time consuming and a PITA.

Since you are getting such a good deal on it, you could spend a little extra to hire a handy man to do the take down-set up for you.  I bet you could find someone on Craig's list who would be willing to do this "odd job."

Ohh - that's a great idea.  Thanks both of you!
