Where to take a vacation

I am looking to book a vacation sometime this fall when lo is around9-12 months.  Want to go either on a cruise or an island.  Any ideas of a kid friendly place to vacation.  I don't want to do the disney thing until my lo can actually enjoy it.

    If you want cheap, chearful and easy, do Riviera maya all inclusive in Mexico.

    How about Hawaii?  We are going on cheap vacations this summer.  Down to San Diego for a weekend to go to the zoo and a Padres game and to the mountains for another weekend.  I'm once again hoarding my PTO so I can have a long maternity leave with our next baby.

    I really liked Grand Cayman.  I've been all over the Caribbean and that island seemed to be the safest....been there twice and had a blast both times.

    Atlantis! It's beautiful, family friendly and lots of fun. They have lots of packaged deals too. It's not too long of a flight either.

    The Dominican Republic.  I've been there several times, its beautiful, and the people there are incredibly nice!

    We're doing Hawaii (Kauai and the Big Island).  It's not my first choice as I usually do really adventurous, exotic vacations, but Hawaii is awesome and relaxing and many of the resorts are very kid friendly.  There's also a lot to do outside of the resorts so you don't feel stuck in some manufactured, resort experience.
