Babies: 9 - 12 Months

need a flowy top to hide my muffintop

Does anyone know where I could find some nice tanks to wear with cardigans, that are flowy enough to not "hug" my mid-section? I have a few but I used to wear them when I was pregnant so they're kind of the last thing I want to put on now, ya know? I still have some major pooch going on so I hate wearing anything clingy for fear that someone will think I'm pregnant.

  • Totally understand. Old Navy had some cute ones that were looser fitting, and Anne Taylor Loft - I just got some A-line type tops from there.

  • I can't wait to see the answers, I could use some tanks too!

I did buy a shapewear tank from target and it's awesome!  I keep getting comments that I've lost weight (trying to, but not successfully thanks to cookies and ice cream DH has to have around!).  I wear the shapewear under a normal tank and then a cardigan or something.

  • I got a cute A-line top from Target for our family & E's 6 month pics (you can see at least part of the shirt in my siggy).
  • Do you have a Maurices or Papaya store near you? They are technically an younger aged store but they have a lot of tops that can be paired with cardigans and they are cheap. I get a lot of work tops at both of these stores.

I like it! I will have to try Target this weekend. The other thing I have to deal with here is giant boobs (which I am so not used to) and sometimes the flowy tops paired with this new "endowment" of mine are not very flattering. I can't win! Ahhh!

I don't but I wonder if I can buy online? I tend to go for stuff in the juniors department anyway. I just have to buy in larger sizes. Thanks for the suggestions!

  • I bought a few of these in different colors from Target.

The double layer in the front helps to camoflauge my muffin top.

Yep, they both have online shopping sites!

Good suggestion!  I'm headed to Target today and I'll try those on.

I got one of these too, only in a gray & white flower pattern, so the pattern helps to disguise my gut as well.

the style that I got should work with big boobs...unfortunately, mine appeareth, and got takeneth away once i stopped BFing.  Stick out tongue

they came in white and a coral color in the store I was in, and they're pretty gauzy, so you'll need a tank top to go on under them.

  • Any top with a banded bottom hides muffin tops wonderfully. Old Navy and Forever 21 have a lot to choose from.
  • Usually muffin top can be corrected by better fitting pants.

  • I love banded tops, I've gotten quite a few recently from Maurices and Old Navy!  I've also found a couple at Target too.

I know, I know. It's just, this is more than a muffin top really. Like someone said a while back, if I get pants that fit my middle, they look dumpy everywhere else. To be honest, I wear yoga pants most of the time and I just hate how my belly still looks like a baby bump, especially when I eat a lot. Gotta stop doing that. hehe

  • Try American Eagle. They usually have some super cute ones. :)
  • You could check out Cato.
  • It's kinda expensive but I saw some really cute flowy blouses and a few ruffle tank tops at Banana Republic yesterday, I'm thinking about getting a few for myself. The splurge is worth my self esteem, right? Wink

Yes! This is exactly what I was looking for. And the prices are good. Thank you! Have you ordered from them before? Just wondering if they are true to size?

EDIT - Boo! I can't order from the website! And there are no stores near me.
