Cloth Diapers

I just bought some GroBaby cloth diapers and from what I had heard on here you were supposed to do a cold pre-wash rinse and then wash them all in hot water, but the care directions listed just says "machine wash warm."

Just wondering how I should care for them, I know not to dry the shells, but I was a little confused.

TIA

Re: Cloth Diapers

  • I don't use grobaby, I use bum genius.  I just followed the company's instructions.  Especially since the company can void your warranty if you don't wash them "correctly".

But I'm pretty sure the extra rinse just helps with stains and to get extra soap out...

  • Wash per package instructions.  If they smell funky call customer service and ask.  A cold rinse though should not be a problem.

  • Yeah from what I heard the cold rinse just helps get the ickys out.  Its like the old style wet pail for cloth diapers.  If it were me I would do a cold soak and then a warm wash like they say.
