Is he too big for his infant car seat?

DS is not at the weight limit yet for his Graco Snug Ride, but over this week I noticed that his feet are just barely starting to hang over the edge of the carseat.

Should I just go and get a convertable seat now? I don't want to endanger him if he is too big for the seat to be effective.

Feet hanging over is okay. The only height limitation is that he needs to have at least an inch of the seat still ABOVE his head.

We had the same issue w/ the Graco and switched LO a week ago, he is almost 6 months.
