Babies: 3 - 6 Months

I'm so annnoyed with SO this morning

I put DS to bed last night and went to bed a few hours later.  SO never comes to bed the same time as me.  He's usually up for an hour or two longer.  Anyway, I go to bed and wake up at some point to SO and DS standing over me.  Apparently DS woke up and after trying for a few minutes, SO couldn't get him to fall back asleep.  So he brought him down and woke me up to take care of him.

Are you fvcking kidding me?!  SO was awake anyway.  Why did he feel that it was necessary to come wake me up?  Even if the baby was hungry, there's milk in the freezer.  I'm so annoyed that SO couldn't just take care of him seeing as HE WAS ALREADY AWAKE.  Grrrrr...

  • So, I have actually done this to DH.  Only when I have tried everything and I need help.  He seems to have the  magic touch with her.  I will be up with her for hours and it will take him 5 minutes to put her to sleep.

  • I can't sleep through DD waking up, but if I did, I'm sure DH would do the same thing. I'm more patient with her than he is. I don't think it would bother me.

If he had actually tried and nothing was working, I wouldn't have been bothered.  But after he woke me, I asked if he tried a few different things.  He said, well no, I rocked him for a minute but it didn't do anything.  That's it.  And it wasn't like DS was screaming or anything.  He was just awake.  I ended up nursing him and he fell asleep.  But like I said, there's plenty of milk in the freezer.

I'm just pissed that he didn't even try... he just brought him to me so he could go back to watching tv.

  • I'd be pissed too!  sorry!
