rookie question about philosophies

i've heard of montessori and reggio emilia, but that's about it.  what else is out there for non-public preschool options?

The most common is a developmentally appropriate/play based curriculum.  Sometimes you'll find a school that is Waldorf based.  A cooperative school is along the lines of the developmentally appropriate but it incorporates the parents.  And you will also find some schools that are very academic based.

    Hope that helps!
