dh really wanted to keep mine and plant it with a tree he bought & planted when LO was born - he read that it helps plants grow bigger or something. I told him no problem but he had to remember to bring the tupperware to bring it home from the hospital in (knowing he wouldnt remember) and of course he forgot.

I have heard of people making it into a pill form and apparently that helps with postpartum recovery - IMO both are gagworthy
