I'm going shopping for my diaper bag this weekend and I'm looking at Kate Spade and Coach. Have you used one or both? Have a preference? I'm really interested in which one is easier to use and has the compartments needed as a practical diaper bag, so any opinions from 2nd time moms would be very helpful! Thanks!
Re: Kate Spade vs. Coach Diaper Bag
I don't know, but I'm interested in finding out, too! Whenever I look at them online, I'm always concerned they won't be big enough.
Can anyone talk about the size and if you can fit enough stuff in either?
I got a Coach diaper bag with my first son. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. The zippers and corners of the bag all fell apart with in the first year. I paid $400 for that bag!!!! I really expected it to last more than 1 year.
This time around I got a Kate Spade. I LOVE it so far. I have to say the Coach bag is laid out better (more room and pockets on the inside). But the Kate Spade does have a nice separation pocket in it. I can easily put baby stuff on one side and my 3yr old's stuff on the other. Or my stuff on one side and the kids stuff on the other. They both have pockets for bottles on the outside, which is SO convenient.
I also got my Kate Spade on a SUPER SALE!!! Go to katespade.com and look at their sale baby items. There are almost always at least 2-3 baby bags on sale. Then, they will sometimes do a "take an additional 25% off sale items" and if you sign up on katespade.com you get an ADDITIONAL 15% off your entire purchase. I got my $455 Kate Spade bag for only $126 (plus free shipping)!!!! I bet with Mothers Day coming up, there will be some mad sales. Good Luck and Happy Shopping!!!
I had a Kate Spade bag and I loved it - the best part were the small outer pockets on either end of the bag - they're the perfect size to hold a bottle or the pacifier.
I ended up buying a Vera Bradley baby bag because it was fabric and lighter than the Kate Spade but it had the same exact deisgn. The leather straps on the Kate Spade weren't as comfortable on my arms as the fabric.

I actually had both with my son. I did like the Coach when better, but to be honest with you they were both a bit inconvenient. I think I would have liked my Kate Spade if it were a little bigger, I do see a bigger one now that I do have my eye on. With both of them I had noticed that if I put to much stuff in them they both killed my shoulder!
I am actually looking at the Petunia Pickle bags now, I am curious if they are any more comfy?
This. If you still have it, take it to a Coach store. They will ship it back to the company and have it repaired and then send it back to you no charge.
