DD broke her arm:(

She was at MIL's house, who has taken the kids twice a week to help me out while I'm home with the newborn.  They just got a new play set in the back yard and she wasn't watching where she was going, but looking at other kids when she was about to slide down the slide.  So she went in the gap to the left of the slide thinking she was going down the slide.  And fell all 5-6 feet. 

What steams me is that MIL didn't even call me to tell me what happened.  I found out hours later and DH took her to the emergency room.  Other than that, MIL did everything as I would have done, and the wrist wasn't even swollen or bruised.  DH (a firefighter/EMT) is the one who knew it was probably broken when he got home.

I'll post a pic of her in her cast tomorrow when I get it downloaded.  DD is huge into ladybugs and DH drew her a ladybug on it.  Also her pre K class all made ladybugs on it instead of writing their names.

    Awww, the poor thing!  I hope she's not in a lot of pain.  Having a newborn, IMO, is hard enough with just one other kid, but would be that much harder with a kid who has a broken arm.

    Poor little thing! She sounds tough though...my DD would have melted into a puddle of tears if she had broken anything! I hope she heals quickly!

    Awww poor thing. My DD was in a cast for a bit and it didn't slow her down at all and I'm sure your DD will be the same way.  Wishing her a speedy recovery.
