I just wanted to let you know that I had mastitis badly for about a month or so, and not once did my milk have blood in it.  Of course I wasn't getting much out of the side that I had mastitis on, but there was no change in the color of my milk at all.  I also took two different kinds of antibiodics, and it was bad to the point where they thought they were going to have to open it up and drain it.  I hope this helps you.  I would call the Dr. and let them know!

    I must have missed you saying that was from the other side and not the side with mastitis.  The other side was fine for me when I had it.  I know other posters have said this, but, it could be from a cracked nipple.

    Thank you!  I did call the doctor and they said to watch it and if it continues until tomorrow then I am to go back in.  I have looked at it many times and I don't see any signs of a cracked nipple or anything close.
