My name is CEBrock and I do not ovulate

Hi Ladies,

I realized I never came out and said a formal hi. So, hi!  I sent some of you messages asking what you would do in the very beginning.

Anyways, I went off BCP in September 09... and then had some long cycles with "periods" (probably withdrawling bleeding).  I went to the doc at the beginning of this month.  They took some blood and gave me provera.  I go back to the doc in 2 weeks.  I know my prolactin and thyroid levels are ok... but thats all I know right now.

Any suggestions for a newbie would be appreciated!

 

Sept 2009: off BCP, started charting
Nov - March 2010: no period
April - November 2010: Prometrium then clomid - BFN
April 2011 - Finally moved and settled in new city
June 30, 2011 - Ruptured Ovarian Cyst
August 2011 - Met with RE - Bloodwork, etc = Dx PCOS, 1700mg of Metformin
September 2011 - HSG/SIS - shows tissue in ute = Hysteroscopy
September 2011 - Clomid + trigger + IUI #1 - cycle cancelled at baseline US - cyst on left ovary = 8 weeks of BCP
December 2011 - IUI#1 Re-do- Clomid + 12/19 Trigger + 12/21 = BFN
January 2012 - IUI#2- Clomid + Estrace CD13 + trigger + 1/22 = BFN February 2012 - IUI#3 - Clomid + Estrace - Failed to respond to Clomid found on CD 13 monitoring.
Feb - Being of RE break-up!
March - Being of crunchy phase aka Accupuncture
June - Random Positive HPT!!
Due February 17!

    Welcome!  When you say you are working with a doc, do you mean RE or OB/GYN.   Depending on how old you are and insurance situation, you may want to consider working with an RE and getting a full workup for you and  your hubby.

    I don't ovulate on my own, and in my experience, OB/GYNs just wanted to get me  to bleed.  My REs wanted to focus on why I was not o'ing and correct it.

    TTC since April 2009 dx = PCOS; TTC History for DS - A FET miracle after 7 IUIs; 2 fresh transfers, and 1 other FET resulted in BFNs. Hoping and Praying for baby #2: Cycle 1 - FET; November 2012 BFN Next Steps - who knows? Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

    Your story sounds very similar to mine.  My OB sent me for a HSG and my DH for a SA.  After those results she made the decision to refer us to a RE. We have our first Appointment May 4th.  We are thinking clomid will be our starting point but not sure.  Keep in touch since you and me seem to be in the same boat.  Hope everything gets figured out quick.

    10/09-started our journey 3/14/10- Dx anovulatory 12/29 IUI #3 BFP beta 1-25, 2-60, 3-2064. u/s 1 beautiful baby :) 9/22 Baby girl born 6 lb 14 oz perfect !!!!

    No suggestions except try and stay positive, there is a lot they can do for anovulation.

    Thanks for the welcome.

    Right now, I am working with my GYN who specializes in Fertility.   I am young enough that I am not in a huge hurry, but my DH is old enough that we need to be moving.  I do plan on asking about an RE at my next appt.  It is encouraging that my GYN isn't obcessed with me having a period.  More just ovulating.

    Let me know how your appt goes!   I go back on the 7th to my GYN...  Clomid was mentioned in my first appt, but they wanted to check everything with a blood test first.
