Pregnant after a Loss

ladies with vag pain, come in!

so ladies dealing with the kick-in-the-vag-kinda-pain, when did you first start noticing it? has it improved at all? does your doctor seem concerned, and has s/he diagnosed you with SPD (Symphysis pubic dysfunction)?

i've been having vag pain since week 15. i got a cervical u/s check and was checked for infections and all was clear, but man, i've been aching since. last night i was reading about SPD and i thought that might be what's going on... but my doctor hasn't said anything about it. he doesn't really seem concerned. i was just wondering about other people's experiences...

Re: ladies with vag pain, come in!

  • my pubic bone hurts and has been since the very light walking I did back and forth from the car for the MOD walk on sunday. (wasn't cleared to walk the march so DH did it with DD for me).  I haven't gotten the chance to ask doc yet.  doesn't help that DD #2 is breech and kicking me in about the same pain zone.

  • My Dr. has checked me for infections since day one, so I know that?s not it. I told him about it and he says it?s normal and nothing to worry about. Just part of the deal. I started getting it real bad around 30-32ish weeks and it?s been daily since then.

I never even heard of SPD until Shell posted something about her friend having it. But it seems a little extreme, plus there?s nothing you can really do about it.

that's pretty much my dr's attitude. but i read in wtewe that it COULD make vaginal delivery impossible. i'm sure that's rare but of course i'm wondering about it now.

  • I'm not sure I'd describe my feeling as Kicked, but it definitely hurts...It feels more like my pubic bone is splitting in half.

I've learned to sit down when putting on my undies/pants etc..never to stand on one leg, be careful walking up and down stairs because of "no standing on one leg rule", never to kneel, and I gave up shoes with any scrap of a heel.
