Well, turns out that Grant simply has diarrhea. He does not seem to have c-diff. What they thought was a small pneumonia turned out not to be. All of the poking and sticking (he was cathed for a urine sample and then it took 6 sticks to get his IV in
), he was really not that sick. <sigh> I hate that we put him through all of that, but I am greatly relieved that he is not really, really sick.
We had planned to go home, well, originally, yesterday. Then, we were going to leave today. . . but since we are all wiped out, we are staying until tomorrow.
The good news is that we put in an application on a townhouse that is in a great neighborhood and will allow DH an easy-peasy commute. (For those following our story, living on post is likely not going to work out, even with DH's deployment credit, they are quoting us 6-9 months until a house would be available.) We have our fingers crossed that everything works out.
Thanks again to everyone for your concern and support! Having a sick baby is hard, being so far away from home while he's sick is no fun!
Re: Final Grant update
Well I can understand feeling bad about all the poking but what a relief it's just the big D ; )
OK- so no lunches while I'm at work....make my day and tell me you are looking to live somewhere near Falls Church???
There is a house for rent across the street from me.....just sayin....
I'm glad to hear that he is gonna be OK. Sick babies are one of the hardest parts about being a mom cuz you just want to make them feel better.
Hopefully things with the townhouse work out too!
Poor Grant. Hope he is feeling better soon.
Good Luck with your house hunting. We are going through something similar, promised a house and it turned into a 1 bedroom apartment, and a 12 month wait for a house.
So glad it's nothing too serious! I still hope he feels better soon...Good luck on the move!

I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
