trying to stay positive ... not so good dr. appt

So my first visit was yesterday. I had my last period around 3/8 - so should be about around 7 weeks pregnant. Sonogram showed just a sac. No baby. Doctor asked how certain I was of my date, sadly and not very bump like, I really dont know the exact date. So she sent me off to get my blood done. She called today and my beta is 3042. I will go back tomorrow to see where it is.

I got my positive pregnancy test on 3/16 with a digital. Yesterday it looks like I am 4 weeks pregnant. Per the doctor my 3042 matches what she saw on the sonogram.

My concerns are in a few directions:
1) If there is no baby, we need to rule out a tube or out of uterus pregnancy.
2) there is no baby, and I will miscarry
3) there is a baby. Crazy to be concerned I know ... but when pregnant with Hope I measured behind by 2 weeks at my dating sonogram. I had charted and took a pregnancy test starting 8DPO so pretty much know when I got pregnant. Doctors said not to worry. Then I developed Pre-E so early. Pre-E is linked to an unhealthy placenta. What is something is happening when my placenta forms during pregnancy. What if that is why I measure behind? Does that mean the whole nightmare will happen again.

Does that sound insane? I will definitly discuss my concern with my Perio if there is a baby in there ...

(((hugs))) I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Unfortunately, you probably just have to wait until you get your next set of betas to really know if things are progressing properly. Waiting is so difficult.

Do you mean 4/16? I'm confused. You had your LMP on 3/8 and a positive HPT 8 days later?

Anyhow, do you have any idea when you ovulated? You can't always go by the date of your LMP if you don't O on Day 14 and have a 28 day cycle. It's possible you O'd late and are actually less far along than you think.

I am so sorry you had a cr*ppy appt... I was confused too about the dates.... But since that is cleared up I think you should just wait for your next set of betas because you said you didn't chart this month so maybe you ovulated late. Try to stay positive for now (easier said than done)... Sending T&P your way

That's what I thought. Totally possible that you just O'd late. I'm sorry this is causing you to be anxious and is bringing all the emotions back from Hope. Good Luck. Keep us updated on the betas. Hugs.

I hope you just O'd late. I got my bfp on 4/13 and I'm only 5w5d, you got yours days after me so perhaps you are way earlier than you thought.

i'm sorry it wasn't the best appointment. but your beta levels are nice and high so that's good. are you going to get another round done? it is completely possible that you just o'ed or implanted late (or both!). i charted and yet i was still measuring over a week behind in early pregnancy. i had to get an u/s at 6 weeks, 7 weeks, and 8 weeks before the dr could FINALLY confirm viability. by that point i was still measuring a week behind, and i've never caught up. but baby is doing great and is measuring right on track. i know it's scary because it's not what you were expecting or hoping for, but that doesn't mean anything's wrong, and you will drive yourself crazy if you keep thinking about these worse case scenarios. hang in there hun!
